Story
A retired CIA agent is hunted by both the agency he once worked for and his own nightmares when an unknown man suddenly visits him after nearly three decades. Production was shut down in March 2020 due to government restrictions. During that time, Jeff Bridges was diagnosed with and subsequently treated for non-Hodgkin lymphoma. After his recovery, the series returned to production. Bridges characterized the return as a “long weekend” return in a podcast in July 2022. Appeared at the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards (2024). High hopes, but 65% of it is over-the-top dialogue and reaction shots. We get it, they’re scared/worried/angry. No need to over-the-top. Episodes 1-2 showed promise, but it seems they didn’t scrap any edits to help extend the series. They should show this to insomniacs who aren’t responding to standard medications.
